Classes and Workshops

Creative Drama

This class offers students a playful introduction to performing, is designed for beginning or returning students and explores new material each session. Students will learn basic acting skills while inventing their own stories based on fairy and folk tales. Working with theatre games and activities, students learn to express themselves while learning basic theatre terminology, exploring character development, active listening, problem-solving, and working in an ensemble. Students gain the ability to build confidence, explore their imagination and develop basic social skills.

Bugs - The Musical

Through acting, singing, and choreography, students will learn to use their bodies and voices to develop a strong characterization. Young performers will explore the life of bugs in this rhythmic mini-musical. Songs include Goin' on a Picnic and March of the Army Ants.

Get into the Game - A Sports Musical

Through acting, singing, and choreography, students will learn to use their bodies and voices to develop a strong characterization. Young performers will explore the true meaning of sportsmanship in this rousing mini musical. Songs include I'm a Champion and You Gotta Use Your Head.
Ages 9 - 10; Sept. 20 - Nov. 8, 2010

Intro to Acting

Discover the actor inside of you! Students will explore the basics of acting and gain confidence through theatre games, improvisation exercises, monologues and scene work.
